We're back!

We moved back home about 3 weeks ago--it's great!!!! But we haven't had internet or cable until this evening. Apparently Hurricane Ike not only took our house but also the telephone/cable lines. So we've had to wait what seems like forever to have cable and internet. Sorry it's taken this long for a blog.

So Sorry!!!

Well, so sorry it's been so long since my last blog.
Our camera cord wasn't working...we ordered a new one and it came in the mail today.
Below we have a mod podge of pics from the end October to now.
I promise to be better about posting.
Thanks for being patient!

Chicago, Chicago

This past weekend Wade had a business trip to Chicago and I piggy backed onto the front end of the trip. We had a great time. Kenneth and Melanie came to our townhouse and watched Carson and Claire. I think they had an equally good time. Thanks so much y'all.Friday night steak dinner.
It was c-o-l-d.
Natalie and Bobby met us at the Tavern for drinks after dinner.
They're some of Wade's friends from A&M.

We decided to take a boat trip through the river and lake to see and hear all about the Windy City.
Trump's newest building. Soon to be the tallest in Chicago.

The sailboats relocate to warmer waters in the fall. The streets are draw bridges so that they can get through. Chicago has 80 some odd draw bridge/streets.

Deep dish Chicago style pizza. YUM!

Shopping on Michigan Ave. TONS of people.

Are we in Chicago or New York?

We went to the Hancock Tower for drinks on the 85th floor.
The elevator took 40 seconds to get there non-stop.
F-A-S-T. The best view was actually in the ladies room. Wade said there weren't even windows in the men's room. Go figure. After our cocktails.
We had dinner with one of Wade's distributors. Scuzi's Italian.
Great.

On my way home on Sunday I had to get a Chicago style hot dog. They come with some bright green relish, banana bell peppers, Klausen pickle, mustard, sliced tomatoes and celery salt. Surprisingly good and interesting combo.

October pictures--7 months old

Claire and Carson are playing more and more together. They're sitting up and falling over and over and over. For some reason they're smiling with their tongue sticking out. Our friends have let us borrow a few of their toys to help in our "temporary 2 story home with one mommy and 2 babies" situation. We're wearing our Halloween outfits as much as possible before the season ends and we've outgrown them. Thanks Aunt April for the cute clothes and DVD. We watch Barney's Halloween some in the afternoons. So far we're having a great time in our new space.
