So close, yet so far

We're getting there...slowly but surely. I just wanted to document a few more tid bits about our kitchen remodel. This is our current week 7.

Pretty.

Is it our back yard? I can't quite tell.

This is our current dining room/kitchen/pantry/laundry room storage.

Just for fun...

"Oh yeah, lovin' my new skirt."

Stephen's birthday

We went to Aunt Carol's house on Saturday night to celebrate Stephen's 18th birthday. We ate the LaMonica family 'sauce'/pasta and topped it off with birthday cake. Carson and Claire got to see more family members from their Italian side. What a crowd!

Trash N Treasure

I had my first garage sale this last Saturday. We'd been collecting things around the house for a while...the kitchen remodel helped motivate us. And Claire and Carson had TONS of baby clothes that they'd out grown. It was a much needed event and actually turned out to be really successful. Ken and Melanie came up to show us the ropes (being seasoned garage salesmen) and also help with Claire and Carson. Our neighbors Mike and Billy Joe let us use their drive since it's covered and a corner lot! Perfect in every way.

Tile; old and new

Doesn't it match well? Thanks, Ken.

The empty spaces are for new cabinets. YEA!

Into the new laundry room...washer/dryer, I NEED YOU!!!

My blanket

For those of you who know me well you know about my blanket. It's been apart of my life since before my own birth. Crazy, I know. But it seems that my two sweet children have adopted it for their own. They LOVE this ratty, old, holey, green blanket. Not much has been able to separate me from my blanket in the past. And yet even though I'm not with it physically, it still brings me wonderful sleep since it makes my twins sleep. We're just trading it between the naps for now. We may need to actually split it into two pieces. We'll see. Funny how life comes full circle.

Construction, drool and Gig 'em

New added kitchen space

New laundry room from outside

Bumbo time

"Daddy dressed us today."
Well, it's been a busy few weeks. Construction has taken over our home...dust, workers, heat. They're working on the tile floors today and floating the walls. We've been without a washer/dryer since the first week--normally I could manage but with twins it takes on a new dimension. I've been to my mother-in-laws a few times to wash and also the washateria. We're ready for our added kitchen space to be finished.
Carson and Claire have stepped up their drool lately. Our naps have gone out the door. I'm guessing this is due to teeth?? Let's hope it's a short stage.
Wade has begun his fantasy football research...he's in 3 leagues this year instead of 4. :)
This morning he dressed Claire and Carson in their Aggie onesies. I think he's pretty excited for football season to begin.
Hopefully I won't be so long in posting a new blog again. Thanks for waiting!
